Atomic CMS
Problem Statement
How can we create a better CMS (Content Management System) for Channable that empowers the Brand Marketing Department to dynamically adapt the website’s structure in response to evolving market demands?
Description
As a two-person team working on this project for two months as part of our bachelor thesis, we conducted extensive research, including user interviews, heatmap analysis, and competitor benchmarking. For ideation, we used methods such as brainstorming, sketching, and the Worst Possible Idea method. We used Figma to prototype and test solutions, ensuring usability and alignment with Channable’s ecosystem. The final deliverable was a refined CMS concept backed by usability testing, designed to improve efficiency for marketers and designers while enhancing the user journey for Channable’s website visitors.

Results
Our solution is a customizable, user-friendly CMS designed to empower non-technical users to manage content independently. By incorporating atomic design principles, a drag-and-drop interface, and role-specific permissions, it streamlines workflows and reduces reliance on developers. The CMS enhances collaboration by clearly defining user roles and providing localization tools for efficient content updates. While initially designed for Channable, the solution has the potential to be adapted for other companies, making it a scalable and flexible tool for content management.
